How to Properly Catch and Release a Bass by 1Rod1ReelFishing

Shoutout to the dink who volunteered to be featured in this video xD Additional tips - For gut hooked fish, cut the line as close to the hook as possible, there is a small chance the bass can pass the hook as shown in this video ( ). *Exception - If you know the proper gut hook removal technique, you may use it if you think there is a high chance of success (I will upload a video demonstrating this in the future). Do not keep the bass out of the water longer than you'd be comfortable underwater (30-60 seconds). As mentioned in the video, if pictures or length/weigh measurements need to be taken, be sure to allow the bass to rest underwater (30-60 seconds) if you exceed the allotted time limit when removing the hook. When using lures with treble hooks, I recommend landing the fish either by grabbing its belly or back with one hand (if lipping the bass seems too dangerous). Be sure to wet your hand before using this technique to preserve the bass' protective slime coating.
